So my favorite holiday is just around the corner and I wanted to share something fun that would be great for Thanksgiving or just a quiet evening at home curled up on the couch with a good movie. I found it when hubby wanted me to go with him to the Apple store and the only way he coaxed me to go along with him was by saying we could stop by the Williams Sonoma store. He knows how much I love that place. As a matter of fact I dream of having a large pantry in my kitchen with double doors that when you opened them you would actually walk into a Williams Sonoma. I imagine perusing to find just the right pan for the recipe, picking out one of their cute aprons to use, pulling out a new dishsoap to use for the week. See I am just a litle obsessed ;)

So anyway as we went into the store one evening they had set up a station with a pot of apple cider and little cups so you could sample their mulled apple cider. We shopped around and I drooled a bit looking at all the utensils I would love to have even if I really wouldn't know what to do with them and I decided I'd buy the mulling spices.
This is a tea ball you can use to put the mulling spices in and you can find these at Williams Sonoma as well as the spices. Photos from Williams Sonoma.com
I made a large pot for Halloween and it was really yummy. There really isn't a recipe. You just need some apple cider and the mulling spices. Throw in some cinnamon sticks and orange slices. Bring to a boil and then simmer. The longer the better.

I have the privilege of hosting Thanksgiving this year at my home which I love. Hubby will make the turkey, stuffing and gravy and I'll make some sides and pumpkin pies. My sister and aunt will make some sides as well and it's always fun to see what they will come up with. I just might wear a cute apron like this one from Anthropologie. You know, you really are a great cook when you wear a cute apron...true!
Not sure how I'll decorate the table this year but I know it will be rustic and natural and will include candles. Here are a few inspiration pictures I found on where else? Pinterest of course.
However you celebrate the holiday remember to be grateful for the big and the small. Thank God for what you have. Love, hug and enjoy.
I wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving. I appreciate all of you. It blesses me down to my toes that you come here to visit me. I wish I could meet all of you. So grateful for my little space on the internet to hopefully be a blessing.
